Fellow Princewaleans;
I became a member of the OPWA in January 2004. Over the years, I have had the honor and privilege to serve this organization as Secretary General, and more recently, helping our able Treasurer Desmond Strasser-King, as Assistant Secretary General. On Saturday the 21st of February, inspired by former Presidents Syl Newstead, Alfred Snell, and more recently Robert Strasser-King, I accepted the task of serving this organization, as President for the next 2 years. I will like to thank you all for entrusting me with this role. For those of us who are committed to supporting our school, we face a lot of challenges here in the US, and at home in Sierra Leone. However, with God's help we will remain dedicated and steadfast in our support of the Prince of Wales School, Kingtom. For the next 2 years, this new executive will focus on the following:
- Increasing the formal membership base of the organization
- Exploring innovative ways to raise funds
- Improve on connectivity with the other chapters here in the US, and Globally.
With your help, and commitment from our members and supporters, and with God on our side, I believe we will succeed in executing on our objectives for the next 2 years. I am looking forward to working with you all. Thanks again, and God bless.
With Kind Regards Amara Omar Kuyateh |
